We at The Most Radicalist have been covering the movements of Australian songstress GRAACE for quite some time now, but ‘Hard To Say’ might well be her best work yet. Her first track of the year hands an entire verse to rapper I.E., who proves why he is at the forefront of the Australian hip-hop resurgence. GRAACE’s own vocals drift towards her trademark vulnerability and airiness, with delicate vocalisations creating a catchy melody and falsetto moments showing off the impressive range that has afforded her such a following in recent years. She is known for her personal, emotive lyrics, and this track is no different, touching on the suicide of a close friend back in 2019.
